WelcomeThe Bluffside Duffers is made up of a group of men who have varying backgrounds, but all share one thing in common - the love of golf. The league is flexible in that all members are encouraged to play golf each week, but regular play is not required. The league name is derived from our sponsor, The Bluffside Tavern.![]() League Officers & Updates
A message from the officers: Please cancel your tee time if your group is not playing a particular week. It is only fair to the golf course to allow them to sell that tee time rather than letting it go unused. Teams may move up to fill a vacated tee time, but then must cancel their own tee time! No league tee times are allowed prior to 12:10 PM, unless approved by the league president. Please make sure to count all strokes. There is no hole maximum score! Red staked areas are considered a hazard. You must play from the hazard or take a one stroke penalty to remove your ball from the hazard. White staked areas are out of bounds. The league is playing summer rules this year, so you can improve your lie anywhere in the fairway (within reason). Sand traps are lift, clean and place within one club length of original lie, but must remain in the sand. Also, a shot out of bounds is played from the point the shot went out-of-bounds with a two-stroke penalty or re-hit from original spot and take a one stroke penalty - your choice. The area between holes 12 and 15 is considered ground under repair if in a netted area. You are allowed a free drop if your ball ends up in that area. If you are in the tall weeds, that is a hazard and must be played accordingly. The 2024 season has come to an end. Hope you enjoyed it! League NewsSeptember 5th results are now posted. This past Thursday, 41 eligible league golfers participated playing the front nine and 31 played the back side. All weekly prize envelopes will be available at the Bluffside Tavern by the following Thursday. Many retirees play Mondays and Tuesdays during the week. Please contact Dave Clements for tee times. You are welcome to play anytime with this group. Many continue to play even though the league season has ended. You will need to make your own tee times. This Week's Highlights
